Steps to change a new thermostat:
The car thermostat is an automatic temperature regulating device that adjusts the amount of water entering the radiator according to the temperature of the antifreeze liquid, thereby ensuring that the heat dissipation capacity of the cooling system is adjusted. But what my friends don’t know is that I think the thermostat is a fragile item. Once it fails, it will have a serious impact on the circulation of antifreeze.
1. The location of the thermostat: Most thermostats are located on the right side of the engine (viewed from the front of the car) and are connected to the radiator drain pipe.
2. The thermostat of this car is located on the lower left side of the air filter box, and the operating space is small. The air filter box must be removed first.
3. Remove the air filter box and you can clearly see the thermostat assembly. Before removing the thermostat, remove the water pipe buckle and pull out the water pipe.
4. Under normal circumstances, the thermostat aluminum shell is fixed to the cylinder block by two screws. Remove the screws and pull out the aluminum shell, and you can see the rusty thermostat core. Pull out the thermostat core, wipe the interface clean, and replace with a new thermostat core. If the thermostat aluminum shell seal is aging, it must also be replaced.
5. Add antifreeze to the full level.
