The guide wheel is an important component in the walking system of large engineering machinery such as excavators. It is installed on the crawler belt and is used to guide the crawler belt. Its main function is to guide the crawler belt to wind correctly. At the same time, the tensioning device is used to move the guide wheel to Adjust the tension of the track, so the guide wheel is both the guide wheel of the track and the tensioner in the tensioner.
1. First remove the crawler tracks of the excavator.
Remove the one-way valve at the grease nipple, release the butter inside, and use a bucket to push the guide wheel inward to make the track as loose as possible. If the excavator used is less than 150, remove the track pin. , if it is above 150, use a bucket to hook off the track. Remember to remove the single valve, otherwise it will be difficult to remove the track, let alone install it.
2. Install the guide wheel.
The guide wheel installation method is the same as the general wheel installation method. Use a jack to support the excavator, then use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws. After removing them, install the new wheels and apply lubricant to complete the installation.
3. Use a grease gun to inject butter into the grease cylinder through the grease nozzle, so that the piston extends to push the tensioning spring, and the guide wheel moves to the left to tighten the track. The tensioning spring has an appropriate stroke. When the tensioning force of the spring is too large, It is compressed to act as a buffer; after the excessive tension disappears, the compressed spring pushes the guide wheel to its original position. This ensures sliding along the track frame to change the wheelbase, ensures the disassembly and assembly of the track, reduces the impact during walking, and avoids rail chain derailment. The main cause of damage to the guide wheel assembly is poor lubrication of the guide wheel shaft.
