The automobile clutch assembly includes clutch plate, clutch pressure plate, release sleeve, release bearing, return spring, clutch cable (or clutch pump, push rod), clutch release fork, etc. The clutch is located in the flywheel housing between the engine and transmission. The clutch assembly is screwed to the rear plane of the flywheel. The output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the gearbox. When the car is running, the driver can depress or release the clutch pedal as needed to temporarily separate the engine and transmission and gradually connect them to cut off or transmit the power input from the engine to the transmission. The clutch is a common component in mechanical transmission that can separate or engage the transmission system at any time. The basic requirements are: smooth joining, rapid and complete separation; and convenient maintenance; small outline size; small mass; good wear resistance and sufficient heat dissipation capacity; convenient and labor-saving. There are two commonly used types: jaw type and friction type.
