The role of the liquid level gauge in a crane is to measure the level of liquid in the crane's oil tank or hydraulic cylinder in order to maintain and control the operation and performance of the equipment.
The application of liquid level gauges in cranes is usually divided into two types, namely mechanical and electronic.
Mechanical liquid level gauge is a more traditional liquid level gauge. It usually uses a float or other mechanism to detect the level of the liquid, converts the mechanical signal into an electrical signal, and transmits it to the centralized control system. However, mechanical liquid level gauges have shortcomings such as being susceptible to contamination, having large errors, and being difficult to maintain.
Electronic liquid level gauge is a kind of liquid level gauge that is more commonly used in recent years. It usually uses a sensor to measure the liquid level height and converts the signal into a digital signal for processing. This type of liquid level meter requires only one power supply and has significant advantages such as fast response, high accuracy and good stability. The level gauge also has an alarm system and a protection mechanism against overload. These features make various crane equipment safer and more reliable.
In the daily maintenance of cranes, the liquid level gauge is a very important component. If the liquid level gauge can detect and report the problem of low liquid level in time, the crane equipment can be maintained in advance, thereby avoiding equipment failure and damage and extending the service life of the equipment. Therefore, the application of liquid level gauges is of great significance to ensure the normal, safe and efficient operation of cranes.
