What is a truck crane telescopic cylinder?

The telescopic cylinder of the truck crane is an important part of the crane. It is responsible for raising and lowering the boom and adjusting the arm length. The telescopic cylinder realizes the telescopic work of the crane through hydraulic principles, allowing the crane to adapt to various heights and task requirements during operation.


Overview of hydraulic principles:

The hydraulic system realizes the transmission and regulation of force by using liquid to transmit pressure. It is a commonly used energy transmission and automatic control technology. The hydraulic system consists of a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor (cylinder) and the hydraulic pipelines connecting them. When the hydraulic pump sucks oil from a low-pressure area and transmits it to the hydraulic motor (cylinder) through pressure, the cylinder will be affected by the pressure to generate force or movement. The piston of the hydraulic cylinder will move linearly under the action of oil pressure.


Working principle of truck crane telescopic cylinder:

1. The hydraulic pump sucks the hydraulic oil from the oil storage tank and delivers it to the oil inlet of the telescopic cylinder through the hydraulic pipeline.

2. The oil flows into the cylinder cavity of the telescopic cylinder, causing the piston in the cylinder cavity to move outward.

3. The linear movement of the piston will change the length of the lifting arm or adjusting arm, thereby realizing the telescopic function.

4. When the expansion and contraction of the oil cylinder reaches the predetermined position, the hydraulic pump stops supplying oil, the oil cylinder is locked, and the lifting arm or adjusting arm is stabilized.

The structure of the telescopic cylinder

Telescopic cylinders usually consist of the following components: - Cylinder: including the cylinder barrel and cover plates at both ends, with a piston inside. -Piston: maintains sealed contact with the inner wall of the cylinder and generates movement through hydraulic force. -Seals: key components to prevent hydraulic oil leakage, usually including O-rings and sealing rubber rings.


The crane and the telescopic cylinder control method can solve the problems existing in the related technologies. The crane includes: a telescopic cylinder, a telescopic cylinder controller, a pressure sensor connected to the telescopic cylinder controller, and the pressure sensor is arranged at the oil inlet of the telescopic cylinder. On the road; the pressure sensor is used to detect the pressure information of the telescopic cylinder; the telescopic cylinder controller is used to determine whether the telescopic cylinder is in a shaking state based on the pressure information, and when the telescopic cylinder is in a shaking state, increase the control current to the telescopic cylinder, This causes the telescopic cylinder to speed up its extension action, and when it is detected that the arm driven by the telescopic cylinder reaches the target position, the control current to the telescopic cylinder is reduced, causing the telescopic cylinder to slow down its extension action.
