In order to reduce the burden on the service brakes, improve vehicle transportation efficiency, and ensure driving safety, cranes and heavy trucks are equipped with different types of auxiliary brakes. Among them, exhaust brakes and engine brakes are used to achieve deceleration using the engine. The crane exhaust brake disc valve includes a solenoid valve, a cylinder, a valve plate, a breather valve, and a solenoid valve breather joint.
Exhaust braking uses the engine rotational resistance generated by driving the engine in the opposite direction from the drive shaft to brake the car. When the engine is braking normally, the air pressure in the exhaust stroke is almost equal to the atmospheric pressure, and there is no pressure on the piston. However, if an exhaust brake device is installed in the exhaust system, the air in the exhaust pipe will be Compression, the top of the piston is affected by the pressure of the compressed air, preventing the engine from running and producing a braking effect, thereby achieving the purpose of controlling the vehicle speed.
The typical butterfly exhaust brake valve structure is as shown in the figure. The breather valve is connected to the front of the exhaust pipe. The solenoid valve controls the opening and closing of the valve plate by controlling the high-pressure air entering the cylinder from the solenoid valve breather joint. When the valve plate is closed, it is in the working state. When the valve plate is opened, the exhaust brake does not work and does not brake.
