Crane brake pads are an important component in the crane braking system. They generate friction through contact with the brake disc to achieve the braking function of the vehicle. Different models of crane Meritor bridge brake pads will have certain differences in size, the specific range is between 9.5cm and 11.5cm. Crane brake pads are divided into asbestos brake pads, semi-metallic brake pads, metal brake pads and ceramic brake pads according to different materials.
1. Asbestos brake pads are low in cost and light in weight, and are widely used on trucks and engineering vehicles.
2. The brake pads of most vehicles are semi-metallic brake pads, which have a low friction coefficient, generally 0.38, and a short service life.
3. Metal brake pads include iron, copper, and wear-resistant iron. Iron brake pads are relatively black, and copper powder brake pads can see some brass or red copper metal pieces or small particles on the surface.
4. Ceramic brake pads have moderate density, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. The noise is much lower than that of metal materials. They are characterized by no dust, long service life, and relatively high cost.
