How to replace the oil filter element?
Step One: Preparation
Before starting to replace the oil filter element, you must first prepare some necessary tools and materials, such as a new oil filter element, anti-skid pad, wrench, rubber gloves, cleaning cloth, etc. Confirm that the vehicle is in a stopped state and park the vehicle on flat ground to ensure work safety.
Step 2: Locate the oil filter element
Depending on the model and brand of excavator, the location of the oil filter may vary. Generally speaking, it is usually located directly above or to the side of the engine. You can refer to your excavator's user manual or consult a professional to determine the exact location of the oil filter.
Step 3: Prepare to replace the oil filter element
Before replacing the oil filter, make sure the engine oil has cooled and the engine has stopped working. Then, find the oil filter element and use a wrench or other suitable tool to remove the old sealing ring on the oil filter element. It is recommended to use objects such as plastic bags or old newspapers to prevent oil filter fragments from falling into the cabin.
Step 4: Remove the old oil filter element
Use a wrench or appropriate tool to gently turn the oil filter until it becomes loose. Then, gently remove the oil filter element from the wrench with your hands, being careful not to drip old oil on the ground or yourself.
Step 5: Cleaning
Once the old oil filter element has been removed, any residue from where the oil filter element was installed should be cleaned. Use a clean cloth to wipe the oil filter element seat and make sure that the remaining seals and other parts are also cleaned.
Step 6: Install the new oil filter
Insert the new oil filter element into the oil filter element holder and turn it by hand until you feel increased resistance. Then, use a wrench to gently turn the oil filter element to a certain angle to ensure that there is no gap between the oil filter element and the seat.
